Congratulations, fellow seniors! The long hours we’ve spent taking notes, writing papers, giving presentations and cramming have finally paid off. The friendships we've made and the experiences we've had — both in and out of the classroom — will remain with us for a lifetime. Now as we begin to count down the days until Commencement and new beginnings, it’s time for us to show our Anteater pride in supporting the 2012 Senior Class Gift.

What is the 2012 Senior Class Gift?

The Class of 2012 is being challenged to make a leadership gift that represents our class year! The gift will be a campus landmark and be seen by generations of Anteaters to come.

How will future generations of Anteaters know the history of the Senior Gift?

A commemorative plaque will be installed acknowledging the generous support of the Class of 2012.

How is the Senior Class Gift decided?

A committee of graduating students works in partnership with the campus to select an area of need that would be of interest to students. This year's committee wanted to ensure that the gift:

1)  Is tangible, something alumni could come back to see.
2)  Helps to increase school pride and/or build traditions.
3)  Be attainable so that the students could afford to complete the project.

Why should I support the senior class gift?

Senior giving is a legacy started at the opening of campus in 1965. Countless campus landmarks and scholarship programs have benefited from more than 40 graduating classes leaving a mark. The bronze Anteater in front of the Bren Events Center is a gift from the Class of 1987. Now it's our turn!

A Class Gift can be expensive. I can't give enough to really help, can I?

The Class of 2012 Senior Gift Committee has set a very attainable $10,000 fundraising goal - more than 6,500 of us are planning to graduate! The committee recommends classmates give $20.12 in honor of our graduation year.
